My son has a rash after he was misdiagonsed with strep. A throat culture wasnt done he was diagnosed simply from the white spots in his throat. A week after being on amoxicillin he developed a rash. After taking him to urgent care and a blood test being drawn it was learned he did not have strep he actually had mono. The rash is a reaction from taking amoxicillin with mono. I would like to let other parents know to always request a test to be positive of the source of infection as to avoid situations like this. I do not blame the doctor at all because his symptoms were consistant with strep. Always test. Better safe than sorry!!! wedding dresses with mixed blue and white color
